The clitoris: we break through the taboo!
Ignored for several centuries, the clitoris gradually begins to reveal itself. What is his role ? Why is it called the “pleasure organ”? How to stimulate it? Everything everything, you will know everything about the clitoris!
What is the clitoris?
The clitoris is a small erectile organ of the female genital system. It is mentioned in medical manuals from the 16th century and is associated with female pleasure for the first time in 1559 by the surgeon Realdo Colombo. Even if its discovery is not new, we had to wait until 2016 and the work of Odile Buisson for a clitoris to be printed in 3D for the first time in France.

What does the clitoris look like?
When someone says clitoris, you probably think of the small protuberance located in the upper part of the vulva. You're not wrong, but you're not completely right! In reality, the only parts that we see are the glans of the clitoris (sometimes referred to as the “button”) and its hood which covers it to protect it. This external part measures on average between 0.5 and 1 cm and represents only 1/10 of the organ. The internal part, that is to say the body of the clitoris as well as the two corpora cavernosa, is located under the labia minora.
On average, the clitoris measures between 10 and 12 cm, which is more or less the equivalent of the size of a penis!
What is the clitoris for?
The clitoris is the only organ in the human body dedicated solely to female pleasure. It just goes to show that nature is pretty well done! We may have to endure painful periods and cystitis , but at least we have the coolest organ in the human body. So you might as well take advantage of it!
The pleasure organ would also have a reproductive function. Its stimulation makes it possible in particular to lubricate the vagina, to increase the vaginal temperature or to slightly change the position of the cervix, which facilitates penetration and fertilization.
Why does the clitoris give pleasure?
If the clitoris is so sensitive, it is because it is made up of more than 8000 nerve endings. When stimulated and excited, the tissues of the clitoris become engorged with blood and the glans becomes erect. You will have understood, the clitoris functions like a penis! The difference is that in men, on average, the glans only has between 3000 and 6000 nerve endings.
How to stimulate it?
Caresses with fingers, tongue or even friction, there are 1001 ways to stimulate a clitoris. The important thing is to find the one that suits you! Some women will be very sensitive and will not tolerate direct stimulation on the glans, while others will love it. To discover what you like, you have to take the time to explore your body.
Clitoral orgasm vs vaginal orgasm, what's the difference?
For a long time, it was believed that there were clitoral and vaginal women. But this is completely false! In reality, all women are clitoral. Vaginal orgasms are caused by stimulation of the clitoris through internal friction linked to penetration.
Can you get a clitoral infection?
Unfortunately, the clitoris is not immune to infections. Mycoses or even vaginal herpes can affect this small organ.
The clitoris can also be irritated due to soap, perspiration or clothing or underwear that is too tight such as pants and thongs. Synthetic materials can also cause irritation to this part of the body. This is why it is recommended to wear soft underwear made without toxic products as much as possible. During your period, choose menstrual panties !
Microcracks can also be observed on the clitoris, particularly due to an accidental cut with a razor or nail.
If you have pain or an infection in the clitoris, consult a doctor quickly! And above all, take good care of this little organ that only wants you well!
