How to use a period thong?

You can use a period thong in the same way as you would use a normal thong. At the start or end of your period, put on your period thong and have a great day!


At other times of the cycle, when the flow is heavier, you can wear a cup or tampon under your thong, which will increase your protection and the duration of absorption.

Which period thong size do I choose ?

Our menstrual thongs can be worn in your usual size. Their lightly sheathing material often gets loose in the first wash, which is whychoosing your usual size will allow you to always feel supported and comfortablethroughout your use.


Our period thongs are designed in such a way that they can be used in a variety of ways the absorbent part of the menstrual vest is adjusted to your body shape, no matter your movements. Choosing the size you usually wear for your training pants will help maintain that fit, even after many washes and uses

When do I change my period thong?

The women's thong is to wear at the beginning and end of your period , when the flow is light. It replaces a conventional tampon, as it has the same absorption capacity. 2 ème fois que j'achète CE produit. Au bout de 4 ans, malgré les recommandations de la marque j'ai du jeter le string car les coutures se décollaient complètement. Mais il est tellement confort à porter, discret, et parfaitement adapté pour les derniers jours de règle !

La forme est trop serrée au niveau des hanches. Je me demandais si j'avais choisi la mauvaise taille, mais les autres formes de la marque tombent bien (dans la même taille). Cela permet de ne pas avoir de marques de sous-vêtements au niveau des fesses mais du coup ça fait des bourrelets très visibles au niveau des hanches, donc pas très discret.
Pour l'absorption, c'est plutôt pour remplacer un protège-slip donc c'est correct.

1er achat d'un sous-vêtement menstruel. Bonne facture, qui demeure après environ 2 mois d'utilisation (sachant que je les utilise tous les jours). Mais à voir dans le temps, j'ai de mauvaises expériences des coutures thermocollées. Très confortable, présente bien. Mais une légère sensation de chaleur peu agréable liée aux matières synthétiques : à voir en été. Il faut s'habituer : un sous vêtement "plein" est quand même moins agréable qu'une protection.

Why wear a period thong?

Do period thong work?

Smoon period pants thong are particularly effective. Indeed, they are composed of the overlayering of three distinct materials which allow them to be

Thanks to our period thong, you will feel comfortable and dry in case of light flow and for a duration equivalent to that of a classic tampon. Similar protection against leaks, more comfort, less odours!

However, do not think that if our menstrual clothes are effective, they are necessarily very thick or visible through the clothes; on the contrary, the “seamless” technology makes them perfectly invisible!

How to wash a period thong?

Several steps are necessary for a good washing of your period panties. This will allow you to preserve its absorbency as long as possible.

First step: rinse the period thong with cold water and make sure to evacuate all the blood that is there, until the water is perfectly clear. Do not use any product during this step.

Second step: wash your period panties with your classic washing machine (cold or 30 degrees maximum). For this step, use your usual detergent, ensuring that it does not contain Marseille soap, glycerin or Aleppo soap. Indeed, these products clog menstrual panties and can reduce their absorption capacity.

Third step: dry the menstrual string in the open air , without using a dryer, which could damage the fibers of your menstrual panties.

How long does a period thong last?

The lifespan of a period thong depends on:

  • a good regular wash
  • of good maintenance

If the instructions concerning washing and maintenance are well respected, your menstrual panties can last from 2 to 5 years without being damaged and while retaining its excellent absorption capacity.

Can you swim with a period thong?

Period thongs are not recommended for swimming. The OEKO-TEX® certified technical materials with which they are made are not designed to offer you maximum protection when swimming in the sea or in the pool.
