Choose your panties
What size should I choose?
Go by your measurements rather than your jeans size: waist at the narrowest point, hips at the widest point.
If you are between two sizes, choose the larger one: tighter panties are not more leakproof. Our panties go from XS (34) to XXL (44), and up to 5XL (50) on Séléné. The “Find my size” button on each product page does the maths for you.
Which flow level should I choose?
Each pair shows its absorbency in tampon equivalents:
- Light, 1 tampon (start or end of your period, light discharge): Aphrodite thong, Vega tanga.
- Medium, 2 tampons (less than one pad or tampon every 3 hours): Séléné, Amphitrite, Calliope, Ara.
- Heavy, 4 tampons (more than one pad or tampon every 3 hours): Artémis, Héméra, Léto, Aquilla.
- Very heavy, 6 tampons: Hécate (150 ml), and Lucina for teens.
If in doubt, go one level up. Many customers wear a heavy flow pair on the first days and a medium flow pair afterwards.
How long can I wear them?
Up to 12 hours for the microfibre range and up to 8 hours for the organic cotton range, depending on your flow and the style.
On heavier days, change sooner or choose a more absorbent style.
How do Smoon period panties work?
They replace pads, tampons or cups thanks to three materials assembled without seams in the absorbent area.
- The wicking layer, against the skin, lets the flow through and dries straight away.
- The absorbent material holds it and limits odours.
- The waterproof membrane stops anything getting through to the outside.
My daughter is unsure between a teen size and an adult size
The teen range (10/12, 12/14 and 14/16) is narrower at the hips and thighs. A girl who has already developed, or is older than 14/16, will often be better in an adult XS or S. The One size fits from 10 to 16 years.
How many pairs do I need for my period?
Three at least, ideally five, so you can wear one while the others dry.
Can I wear them with a cup, a tampon or a pad?
With a cup or a tampon, yes, on very heavy days. With a disposable pad, no: its adhesive clogs the absorbent area.
Are they suitable for discharge and light bladder leaks?
Yes, they also absorb everyday discharge and light bladder leaks.
What about sport or swimming?
The MOVE collection is designed for sport: Active panties up to 8 hours, Perf panties up to 12 hours, plus shorts, cycling shorts and leggings with built-in panties.
Our period swimwear absorbs the equivalent of 4 tampons, for up to 12 hours, with no other protection, and resists chlorine and salt water.
What are the panties made of, and where are they made?
The materials come from France and Italy, are all certified OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 and contain no silver nanoparticles; the cotton range is made of GOTS-certified organic cotton.
The panties are designed in Paris with a textile engineer and made in Tunisia, in a factory that is regularly audited.
Why seamless?
For three reasons: comfort, invisibility under leggings, and a waterproof membrane never pierced by a needle. Only the absorbent area has several layers; the rest of the panties is a single layer.
Care
How do I wash my panties?
- Wash them once before wearing them for the first time.
- After wearing, rinse them in cold water until the water runs clear. Never use hot water.
- Machine wash cold or at 30 °C on a delicate programme, in a laundry bag, with the rest of your laundry. Or by hand.
- Use a regular detergent. No Marseille or Aleppo soap, glycerine or fabric softener: they clog the fibres. White vinegar, bleach and soda crystals damage the materials.
- Air dry, never in a tumble dryer or on a radiator.
How long do the panties last?
3 to 5 years depending on care, if you alternate several pairs. Lower absorbency or a stretched fabric are signs it is time to replace them.
I had a leak, what should I do?
Three causes come up most often: a size slightly too big (the absorbent area must fit snugly), an oily soap or fabric softener that stops the material absorbing, or a flow heavier than the style can hold.
Write to us at contact@smoon-lingerie.com: we will look for the cause with you, and our 60-day satisfied or refunded guarantee applies.
My panties still smell after washing
Most often, the absorbent material is clogged by fabric softener or an oily soap. Rinse them thoroughly in cold water, then wash them again with a regular detergent, without softener. For a stubborn stain, a little bicarbonate of soda now and then.

How does the satisfied or refunded guarantee work?
For 60 days, you can wear and wash one product per category (panties, swimwear, sportswear). If it doesn't suit you, send it back washed and we refund it.
The other products in the same category, never worn, can come back with it to be refunded, or stay with you. Write to us at contact@smoon-lingerie.com to use it; €4.90 in return costs is deducted.
When will I be refunded?
Within 10 working days of your parcel reaching our warehouse, to your original payment method. Your bank then takes a few days to credit the amount.
Can I return a free product, or a "buy 2, get 1 free" order?
A free product cannot be exchanged, and it must be returned if the whole order is refunded.
During a "buy 2, get 1 free" offer, partial refunds are not possible: we offer a credit note or an exchange for a product of the same price. The satisfied or refunded guarantee still applies.
I bought in a store, how do I return it?
Contact the store where you bought it (Etam, Monoprix, pharmacy, retailer): its own returns policy applies.
I live in Switzerland, or outside Europe
From Switzerland, ask contact@smoon-lingerie.com for your label and customs documents, otherwise customs fees will be deducted from your refund.
