At Smoon, every product is designed to be reliable, high-performing, and safe.

To guarantee this promise, we carry out a series of rigorous tests, ranging from real-world use to scientific analyses, to offer you products you can wear with confidence for years.

Usage testing:
our testers at the heart of the process

We know that a technical product can only truly perform if it meets women’s real needs.

That’s why we conduct user testing with a representative panel:

  • Our testers are selected according to specific criteria: needs, age, body shape, and sizes, so that every usage situation is covered.
  • Each tester receives the product and wears it under real-life conditions for several weeks: during the day, at night, while exercising, washing, drying… in short, a true everyday “crash test.”
  • Thanks to their detailed feedback, we adapt and improve our products before every launch.

Laboratory tests:
measure performance

At the same time, we work with independent, certified laboratories to objectively verify the effectiveness and reliability of the benefits claimed.

Depending on specific uses and expectations, we define tailored test batteries based on:

  • Existing standards, when they cover the properties to be assessed;
  • Protocols we develop ourselves, when no standard yet makes it possible to accurately measure the performance sought.

Depending on the key characteristics of each product, we can therefore assess:

  • Functional performance (for example: absorbency, leakproofness, breathability).
  • Stability and resistance over time, through accelerated aging tests that simulate several years of use.
  • Durability and quality in use, such as the product’s behavior during washing and drying or under repeated stress.

Clinical studies:
health comes first

Because our products are in direct contact with the skin and often with the most sensitive areas of the body, we conduct clinical studies overseen by specialists (dermatologists, gynecologists, or other experts depending on the type of product).

These studies help verify:

  • Skin and mucous membrane tolerance, to ensure optimal everyday comfort.
  • The absence of irritation or adverse reactions, even during prolonged use.
  • Compatibility with sensitive skin, to guarantee safe use for everyone.

Our requirement is simple: every Smoon product must be flawless in terms of safety, to support the health and well-being of all women over the long term.

Chemical tests
and PFAS

We go further by also testing the chemical composition of our products:

  • All our textiles are certified OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100. This means that every product undergoes strict testing to ensure that any potentially present substances comply with tolerance thresholds defined by rigorous specifications.
  • Therefore, all our products pose no health risk.
  • We have conducted extensive testing to confirm the complete absence of PFAS, persistent chemicals that may be harmful to health.
